However, some people forget to prepare their bodies in that very place WHERE THEY ARE GIVING BIRTH. While if the pelvic floor muscles are strong, flexible, and the pregnant woman uses them in a conscious way, making it easier to create a pathway for the baby when the time comes.

The pelvic floor excersis of the Kriston Method are very different from Kegel exercises. The Kegel is a repetition of a single movement that has been used exclusively to treat incontinence.

The 12-hour course provides a solid secure knowledge, that anyone can master. It is unique teaching methodology which can be followed by everyone, step by step. From this knowledge your  instructor will create a personalized pelvic floor exercise programme for you, to practice at home every day. Kriston Method is a health education program for women and men designed to improve the function of the lower abdominal organs from infancy to old age. It aims to prevent, decrease and eliminate symptoms of our private parts caused by weak muscles, poor nutrition supply and bad habits. It guides the client towards more conscious organ protection, healthier lower abdominal function, stronger pelvic floor muscles. Keeps the organs located in the pelvis, in their anatomical position and promotes more pleasure in sexual life. Kriston exercises help with the conception, the process of implantation, and can be safely practiced all throughout pregnancy, as learned from your Kriston instructor.

These pelvic floor strengthening exercises by the Kriston Method are also recommended, as a post-natal, or after having a caesarean section, to prevent or eliminate the following symptoms: urinary incontinence, hemorrhoids, prolapse of the bladder, uterine prolapse, rectal prolapse, vaginal dryness, lack of libido, vaginal laxity. Many surgical interventions have been developed to 'make' a dilated vagina tight again, but unfortunately, muscle can not be built via surgery, use of pessaries or lasers. Muscle can only be developed through exercise, so the only way to tighten up the vagina is through exercise on the muscles of the vagina.

For a pregnant woman, there are no contraindications to attending the course. As long as you are not prohibited from living a normal lifestyle, you are more then welcome to come to the course. You will only benefit from it together with your baby, even with an incompetent cervix. If the doctor advise is you need bed rest, then see you later. After a caesarean section, you should only come to the course when pain does not prevent you from doing the exercises. Only one time when it is not recommended for a pregnant woman to do the the exercises of the Kriston Method , when she is in the midst of a contraction, but once the contractions has passed, it is safe to practice the Kriston Method exercises.

Unlike many other exercises that affect the perineum, the exercises of the Kriston Method can be safely performed throughout pregnancy. The sooner you learn it, you will have a more complete preparation for birth.
