A health education session developed for students aged 8-16 and conducted by Kriston Trainers.

The Kriston for Teen Girls provides the knowledge needed to protect the abdominal organs and their functions.

From elementary school to adolescence, young people learn about intimate habits according to their age: excretion, retention of feces and urine, protection of the connective tissues of the lower abdominal organs, respect for healthy organ functions and natural bodily processes.

Through entertaining education about biology, anatomy, physiology, organ functions, personal development, and a presentation on health maintenance, young people can make responsible decisions to prevent symptoms affecting intimate organs.

Intimacy treated as a taboo can lead to shame, guilt, failure, although it is meant to provide the joy of healthy functioning, attachment, and vitality if we treat it with due respect.

Neither taboo nor carelessness serve our long-term health, and our mental well-being. Only information, and healthy intimacy patterns support students in their present- and future life.

The Kriston for Teen Girls can have a major impact on educating young people who become conscious, capable of reproduction, and who are able to make their own lives easier through self-care, thereby also reducing the burden on the health care system.

With the acquired knowledge, hemorrhoids, constipation, incontinence, premenstrual syndrome can be prevented.

The course may also relieve fear of childbirth and reduce the possibility of later sexual dysfunction and difficulty in conceiving.

Girls are taught exercises to relieve menstrual cramps so that they can experience the physiological processes of female existence in a positive way.

Optional parts of the Kriston for Teen Girls:

  • information meeting with the school leader about the benefits of the program: 45 minutes
  • information meeting for teachers: 45 minutes
  • information meeting for parents: 45 minutes
  • lecture for girls 1-2x45 minutes depending on age
  • Kriston Intimate Training, for improving the abdominal functions: 45 minutes
  • entertaining workshop 2x45 minutes per hour.

Young people’s intimate problems are significant.

Painful menstruation affects 70-80% of girls, constipation affects half of the young people, and involuntary urinary incontinence occurs in 50% of 18-year-olds.

Kriston for Teen Girls is beneficial for all children, both lower and upper grades, as well as for students in their high school years, and the program may take a significant burden off the shoulders of teachers and family.

Andrea Kriston had been teaching her method at the Budapest Institute of Pedagogy for 10 years as a health development consultant.

Her first curriculum was approved by the Ministry of Education in 1990 under the name Intimtorna (Intimate Training), and the second one in 1995 by the Ministry of Health KÖ-TE-LÉK (Environment-Body-Soul curriculum, with co-author Prof. Dr. Péter Ruzsonyi).

Kriston Trainers may be hired to teach the program by the school management, the school district, the class teacher, a specialist teacher, the school psychologist, the school nurse, a par

Group training

Kriston Intimate Training for Teen Girls held in 3x2 hours, providing theoretical and practical knowledge for 8-16 year olds.

The aim is that girls strengthen their positive attitude towards femininity, that they create an uplifting vision of their relationship, childbirth and motherhood, so that their self-image can develop in a positive way and they can feel the right for their own boundaries, needs, and pace, avoiding the fast pace of today’s world.

The joy of healthy functioning experienced during menstruation has a significant effect on the health of the female organs. The cause of menstrual disorders in young people cannot be solved by painkillers, or by hormonal drugs that help promote regular menstruation.

The sooner a youngster receives support, the more symptom-less her cycle becomes.

The exercises may help relieve menstrual cramps, constipation, incontinence, and other symptoms due to muscle weakness.

Acne may disappear due to the hormonal effect.

Sexuality, treated as a taboo, is a guaranteed failure, so easing it does not equal being ill-mannered, but eliminates under-education in that area of life that fundamentally determines the quality of life for every adult.

The course helps prevent young people from making decisions either too early, or because of being unprepared or immature, that will determine their future.

The course can be held in a school, at a cultural centre, or at the Kriston trainer’s place of education.
