The mucous membrane, lining the inner surface of the uterus, is sloughed off accompanied by bleeding, and is rebuilt month after month under hormonal influence, so that fresh, healthy and vital cells are always ready to implant new life following fertilisation. A normal cycle is when bleeding is regular and painless. Menstruation is a reliable indicator of our state as women in our fertile decades. At the beginning and towards the end of the reproductive life, bleeding can be irregular even under normal physiological conditions. The length of the cycle between the two first days of two consecutive menstrual bleedings is 28 (21-35) days, with the menstrual bleeding usually lasting 3-5 days. Disturbances in the natural physiological process can manifest themselves in various ways, affecting fertility and a woman's well-being.
Menstrual disorders can affect the frequency and length of menstruation, bleeding intensity, it may last for months or be painful and crampy. It is a delicate 'signalling system' and may be influenced by many factors, such as stressful lifestyle, medication, diet, lifestyle changes and vigorous physical activity. It may be accompanied by other abdominal, gynaecological or general physical and psychological symptoms and complaints. When stress is identified as a possible cause, it is crucial to look into what is causing the stress in detail. It is not uncommon that revulsion toward the normal functioning of the female body is behind menstrual disorders, or some kind of prohibition, abuse or shaming from someone's environment or family, which causes them anxiety about their bleeding. Someone could have had an unpleasant sexual experience that caused her fear, alarm or disgust about any intimate intercourse. The law of 'stress or sex' applies to the entire genital system, and if stress hormone levels rise in the body, it interferes with normal physiological functioning by upsetting the balance of the psycho-neuro-endocrine chain. Under chronic stress, the functioning of the hormonal system switches to stress "mode", which is beneficial for the body’s survival. If this were not the case, it would mean that the body cannot adapt to the changed circumstances, with potentially fatal consequences. Fortunately, however, it does adapt, but in the meantime it signals that something is wrong in the form of a symptom. So, we are bothered by the symptom caused by this adaptation, we want to get rid of it, and we do everything we can to do so, including asking the doctor for help. However, seldom do they ask us what preceded the symptom, what our body reacted to. But if there is an effect, there is a cause.
Because of all the above, it is essential to ask questions about what the body benefits from this symptom, what it protects itself from, why working this way is effective, what it wants to help us with, what it has adapted to with this symptom. Only then can the root causes be found and eliminated. Although there are efforts and sometimes successes with certain therapies, medications or lifestyle changes, it often seems as if we are covering up the very red flags that alert us to the danger by fading, masking or temporarily removing the symptoms. Would we cover up the low oil light in our car? It will certainly not end well if we ignore the warning. The same thing happens in our bodies. Many professionals find that their patients' cases get resolved when they start to seriously explore the roots of their problems, to build the best version of their femininity and female organs. Kriston Intimate Training provides them with complex help in this, by which, in addition to achieving the best organ function, we also gain insight into the scripts in which symptoms develop.
From the point of view of the Kriston Method, there is always a cause for a symptom that needs to be changed. That is why our clients do not prefer taking the easier way out, an antispasmodic that only gives the appearance of change, e.g. to stop menstrual cramps, but move towards a permanent solution. Without a solution, menstrual disorders tick like a time bomb. In our studies, we found that 86% of participants had a positive change in their attitude towards menstruation, 48.7% of participants who complained of cramps no longer experienced pain during their menstrual period in the month following the course, 72% had more regular periods, and 81% of women had a change in the length of their menstrual cycle. In a study carried out with the help of Babes-Bolyai University, 100% of women with menstrual complaints reported a cessation of their symptoms as a result of the course and personalised exercise.
The Kriston Method sees chronic stress symptoms as consequences that we can change. Be an active participant in your menstrual health.
